B.Sc. (Chemistry)
1 Developed students with the skills required to succeed in graduate school, the chemical industry or professional school.
2 To expose the students to a breadth of experimental techniques using modern instrumentation.
3 The student will understand the importance of the Periodic Table of the Elements, how it came to be, and its role in organizing chemical information.
4 The student will understand the interdisciplinary nature of chemistry and to integrate knowledge of mathematics, physics and other disciplines to a wide variety of chemical problems.
5 The student will learn the laboratory skills needed to design, safely conduct and interpret chemical research.

M. Sc. (Organic Chemistry)

6 Student will know basic information on molecular methods (IR, Raman, UV-VIS, NMR and EPR) and Student will be able to select molecular spectroscopy methods suitable forsolving given scientific problem.
M. Sc. (Analytical Chemistry)
1 To equip students with the knowledge and generic skills for employment orfurther training in R&D, science based industry and establishments, education and fortraining at management levels in other professions.

01 Food Adulteration awareness campaign
On the occasion of Platinum Jubilee year of KCE Society’s, School of Chemical Sciences, Moolji Jaitha College (Autonomous), Jalgaon, has organized “Food Adulteration awareness campaign” at M. J. College and Girana taki area for identification of food adulteration in daily essential things on 21th December 2020. The function was inaugurated by Food and Medicine commissioner, Mr. D. K. Sonawane and Food Inspector Mr. Vivek patil. 100 students and 120 peoples benefited from this campaign. This activity co-ordinatedby Mrs. Jaishri.U. Shinde.
02 Workshop on "Training and Safety in Chemical, Clinical and Industrial Laboratories – 2020 (TSCCIL - 2020), on 11th January 2020.
On the occasion of Platinum Jubilee year of KCE Society’s, School of Chemical Sciences, Moolji Jaitha College (Autonomous), Jalgaon, has organized oneday Workshop on "Training and Safety in Chemical, Clinical and Industrial Laboratories – 2020 (TSCCIL - 2020), on 11th January 2020.
The function was inaugurated by Hon'ble Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. P. P. Mahulikar, Dr. B. B. Idge, Prof. D. G. Hundiwale, Prin. Dr. U. D. Kulkarni, Dr. S. N. Bharambe, Prof. R. M. Rathod and Prof. S. D. Mahajan.
The program was started by the welcome song presented by Miss Ashwini Patil and students. The introduction of School was given by Prof. R. M. Rathod, Director and brief of the workshop was given by Dr. V. R. Shaikh, convener, TSCCIL-2020. With concluding remarks of Prin. Dr. U. D. Kulkarni and inaugural speech of Hon'ble Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. P. P. Mahulikar the inauguration program is over. Dr. Mrs. J. D. Bhirud express vote of thanks.
The next session was started with the Invited talk of Dr. B. B. Idge, NCL, Pune. The second invited speech was Prof. D. H. More, KBC NMU. The third invited talk given by Dr. D. M. Badgujar, DRDO, Pune and the fourth invited talk was given by Dr. N. D. Dandi, KBC NMU. The chief guest of the valedictory function was Mr. Rane, Dr. R. D. Patil and Miss Ashwini Patil were anchoring the event. Dr. R. R. Mahire, organizing secretary, TSCCIL-2020 presents the workshop report and expresses a vote of thanks.
03 Seminar on Challenges in Intellectual Property Rights and Patent System-2020 (CIPRPS-2020) on 26th February 2020.
On the occasion of Platinum Jubilee year of KCE society’s, School of Chemical Sciences, Moolji Jaitha College (Autonomous), Jalgaon, has organized the Seminar on Challenges in Intellectual Property Rights and Patent System-2020 (CIPRPS-2020)on 26th February 2020.
The program is started at morning with inauguration by the Principle Prof. Dr. S. N. Bharambe in the presence of Director, Prof. R. M. Rathod, Dr. B. L. Chaudhary and Dr. V. V. Gite. The First invited talk was delivered by Dr. B. L. Chaudhary, Associate Professor, School of Life Sciences, KBC North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. He explains the importance of Intellectual Property Rights in India with respective statutory, administrative and judicial levels. He also focused on the rights of owners are protected through copyright and related rights. He creates the awareness among the audience about protection of copyright and related rights which encourage and reward creative work. The second invited talk by Dr. V. V. Gite, School of Chemical Sciences, KBC North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. He talks on the patent system that provides the right to the patent owner to decide how or whether the invention can be used by others. He also explains the exchange of rights and how the patent owner makes technical information about the invention publicly available in the published patent document.
Miss. S. B. Uplapwar was anchoring the event and Dr. Mrs. J. D. Bhirud introduce the speakers. Dr. V. R. Shaikh, organizing secretary briefed about program and Dr. R. R. Mahire, Convener, CIPRPS-2020 express votes of thanks.
03 Guest Lecture of Dr. B. B. Idage
School of Chemical Science has organized guest lecture of Dr. B. B. Idage, Former Scientist, NCL Pune, on topic “Biodegradable Polymer” to UG and PG students on 15th January 2020. Near about 60 students from Undergraduate and 50 students from post graduate attended this lecture. Dr. Rajendra D. Patil and Dr. Jayashri D. Bhirud coordinated this activity
05 Guest Lecture of Prof. L. J. Paliwal
SchoolChemical Science has organized guest lecture of Prof. L. J. Paliwal,Ex. Head, Department of Chemistry,Nagpur university, on topic “Inorganic Chemistry topic related to NET/SET exam”, to P.G. students. 30 students actively participated in this lecture on 12th March 2020.Dr. Manoj A. Pande and Dr. R.D. Patilcoordinated this activity.
06 State Level Chemistry Talent Search Examination
State Level Chemistry Talent Search Examination was conducted for F. Y. B. Sc. students offering chemistry subject on 6thJanuary 2020. 400 students from 8 colleges and 6 universities of Maharashtra participated in this examination. Prof. Y. B. More had coordinated this activity.
07 Industrial Study Tour
As a part of curricula, School of Chemical Science arranged Industrial Study tour at Mapro Food Private Limited, Panchagani, Mahabaleshwar on 17-21th January 2020 (M. Sc Part-II of Organic and Analytical chemistry) and 25-29th January 2020 (T. Y. B.Sc.). Around 90 students were present for the industrial visit in which students were exposed to various technical and chemical methodologies. Students got an opportunity to avail the knowledge of processing units like cleaning, crushing chopping, Pasturizing fruit pulp, Preparing jam and jelly, Packing etc. The industrial visit was co-ordinated by, Prof. R. M. Rathod, Prof .S. D. Mahajan, Prof. J. U. Shinde, Prof. J. D .Bhirud, Prof. R.D. Patil, Prof. V. R. Shaikh, Prof. R. R. Mahire , Prof. S. N. Padvi, Prof. A.V. Patil and Prof. A. R. Patil.
08 University Level Power point Presentation Competition
Power point Presentation Competition was organized in U.G. and P.G. categoryon5th March 2020.Students from School of chemical sciences, N. M. U. and various colleges affiliated to North Maharashtra University participated in this activity. This activity was coordinated by Mrs. Dipali C. Chaudhari. 24 students were participated in this competition. Winners were awarded by cash prizes and certificates.
09 Advance Instrumentation Training Workshop
“Advance Instrumentation Training Workshop” was organized on 06th March 2020 for T. Y. B.Sc. and M. Sc. students. In this workshop students got hands on training on Ultra Violet spectrometer, Infrared Spectrometer, Gas chromatography, High Performances liquid chromatography and brook field. 130 students actively participated in this workshop. Mrs. Jaishri U. Shinde coordinated this activity.
