President's Message

    Moolji Jaitha college, the pioneering institute of the Khandesh College Education Society, has been one of the most favoured one. It has kept its high standard of education right from its inception in 1945. Today, it is one of the premier academic institutions in Khandesh region, committed to achieve the highest academic standards. It is due to the dedicated efforts of its teaching and non-teaching members that it has been conferred with the status of ‘College with Potential for Excellence’ and then, the ‘College of Excellence’ by UGC and ‘DBT Star College’ by Ministry of Science and Technology. It is a ISO 9001:2008 certified college since 2007. As a result, it has been bestowed with the prestigious 'A+' grade twice by NAAC during 2004 and 2012. As an academician, I believe that the reputation of this institute lies in the fact that it provides an opportunity to choose and enroll in academic programmes that are best suited to the students. Known for its educational, cultural, social and spiritual enterprises, it also offers an education that promotes innovation, kindles creativity and instills ethical practices.

    Apart from the routine academic exercises, the students get practical experience in varied co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, providing them a training-ground to meet the challenges in life. As a result, M.J. college has proven its metal in academics, as well as, sports. A total of 59 its students have appeared in the merit list of the North Maharashtra University during 2015-16 and at the same time it has made a hattrick of winning the General Championship of Yuvarang, the youth festival. Since 2015, the college has initiated two dream projects, ‘Sports Talent Search’ and ‘Art Talent Search’, to identify talented students and nurture them to rise at national and international horizons. 'Budding Researchers' Scheme' is also an innovation for developing research aptitude amongst students.

    As per the aspirations of Late Dr. Annasaheb Bendale, the college is marching towards higher goals in education and I am confident, in the present competitive environment, only the fittest will survive. Hence, this M. J. college will emerge as one of the best educational institutes in this country.
