B.Sc. (Microbiology)
1 Microbiology graduates will apply their knowledge and skills gained through the program to achieve success in their academic and/or professional development.

MSc (Microbiology)
1 Acquired knowledge and understanding of the microbiology concepts as applicable to diverse areas such as industrial, agriculture, food, environment, and others.
2 Demonstrate an understanding of structure and metabolism of macromolecules, regulation of metabolic pathways and the role of microbes in industry, health and environment.
3 Demonstrate key practical skills/competencies in working with microbes for study and use in the laboratory as well as outside, including the use of good microbiological practices.

MSc (Biotechnology)
1 Become eligible to take doctoral education in various fields of life sciences inclining biotechnology, biochemistry, genetic engineering, forensic science, molecular biology and agriculture biotechnology.
2 Serve as junior research fellow in government and private institutes for government or NGO sanctioned projects.
3 Serve as administrators, researchers, investigators, assistant, and data scientist in pharmacy, qualitative manager, production manager, researcher for scientific, food, agriculture and in sterile plants of various industries.

5th National conference Advances in Microbial Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Approaches(AMBI: 2014)
The Department has successfully organized 5th National conference on “Advances in Microbial Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary approaches on 21stand 22nd February 2014 in coordination with Department of Botany and Biochemistry. Various distinguished scientists have deliberated the scientific talks on various topics like Biotechnology and interdisciplinary approach, conducted interactive session on research. The guest includes Prof. V. L. Maheshwari, NMU, Jalgaon, Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, Thane, Dr. Milind Sardesai, Aurangabad, Dr. A. H. Jobanputra, Shahada, Dr. U. K. Patil, Shirpur, Dr. Y. S. Shouche, Pune and Dr. K. K. Kalmalja, NMU, Jalgaon, Dr. B. L. Chaudhari, NMU, Jalgaon. The conference also includes one day workshop on Bioinformatics and Biostatics. The Vice Principal, Dr. Mrs. D. S. Bendale, and Dr. Mrs G. M. Rane guided as convener of the conference, Dr. B. R. Kavimandan and Dr. M. K. Deshttivar has worked as organizing secretary, were as overall coordination was done by Dr. K. P. Narkhede.

4th National conference Advances in Microbial Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Approaches (AMBI: 2013)
The Department has organized 4th National Conference on Advances in Microbial Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary approaches on 23rd and 24th January 2013 in coordination with Department of Botany and Biochemistry. The conference was inaugurated at the hands of Prof. Dr. B. D. Kaushik, Professor in Biotechnology, Anand Engineering College, Agra. The patron remark was given by Mr. Kiran Bendale, Management Council Member, K. C. E. Society, Jalgaon. About 118 participants from the Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Uttar Pradesh have participated in this event. The conference includes total 12 lead lectures namely Dr. C. B. Powar, Nagpur University, Nagpur, Dr S. P. Gowindwar, Shivaji University, Kolhapur, Dr R. V. Gandhe, Agarkar Research Institute, Pune, Dr. Kanchan Gandhe, Pune, Dr. Aarti Shanware, Rajiv Gandhi Biotechnology Centre, Nagpur University, Nagpur, Dr. B. M. Kareppa, Parbhani, Dr. Z. H. Khan, Akola, Dr. B. M. Waghmare, Nilanga, Latur, Dr N. V. Firke, Amravati University, Amravati, Dr.Ajay Jadhav, Aurangabad, Dr. Jyotsna Meshram, N. M. U., Jalgaon and Dr. U. K. Patil, Shirpur. The department has organized 3rd National Conference on Advances in Microbial Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary approaches on 27th and 28th January 2012 in coordination with Department of Biochemistry. The conference was inaugurated at the hands of, Dr. Y. S. Shouche, Scientist, NCCS, Pune and Dr. Jyotsana Bendale, Member KCE Society has chaired the session. Various scientists and researchers have deliberated the scientific talks on related issues which includes, Dr. Mrs. Jyotsana Meshram, Nagpur University, Mr. S. N. Jogdand, Mumbai, Dr. Z. H. Khan, Akola, Dr. P.V. Desai, South Gujarat University, Surut, Dr. V. N. Kulkarni, BARC, Mumbai, Dr. V. M. Khadke, Life Technology, Mumbai. The valedictory function was chaired by leading pathologist Dr. Shridhar Patil, on this occasion Dr. V. L. Maheshwari, NMU, Jalgaon has guided the participants. The conference was coordinated by Dr. Leena Barhate and Dr. B. Kavimandan. About 218 participates from all over Maharashtra, Madhya Paradesh, Rajasthan, Gujrat, Uttar pratdesh etc. were interacted during this National event.

The event was organized in association with Microbiologist Society of India in the remembrance of father of Microbiology Sir Antony von Leeuwenhoek. The function was inaugurated at the hands of Dr. A. G. Ingale, SLS, NMU, Jalgaon. The competition has received response from different parts of the Maharashtra; in all 159 students have participant in this activity. This participation includes students of UG and PG from Nasik, Shirpur, Dhule, Bhusawal, Amravati. The valedictory function was chaired by Dr. R. R. 3rd State level poster competition - BioInnovo 2012
The Department of Microbiology, Moolji Jaitha College, Jalgaon has organized 3rd State Level Poster Competition- Bio-Innovo: 2012 on 22nd September 2012. The event was organized in association with Microbiologist Society of India in the remembrance of father of Microbiology Sir Antony von Leeuwenhoek. The function was inaugurated at the hands of Dr. A. M. Deshmukh, Head, Department of Microbiology, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. On this occasion Dr. Deshmukh has interacted with all the participants and motivated them through inspiring inaugural talk. The competition has received overwhelm response from different parts of the Maharashtra; in all 326 students have participant in this activity. This participation includes colleges from urban areas like Aurangabad, Nasik as well as college from rural background such as Aklkuwa, Faizpur etc. About 212 undergraduate and 114 post graduate students from 13 colleges have presented 118 posters on innovative themes in life sciences during this event.

Department of Microbiology has organized 4th Alumni-Meet on 26th January 2015. The event was inaugurated at the hands of alumni Miss. Prerana Thakur, The event was coordinated by Miss Reena Jain. Total 85 Alumni from from Mumbai, Nashik, Bangalore, Pune, Indore were participated in this event. On this occasion alumni guided the students about carrier in microbiology and job opportunities in pharmaceutical industries. The programme includes introduction and guidance by alumni, Documentary of Department, Cultural activity, Inauguration of Blog and Coffee table book etc.

3rd Alumni Meet 2013
Department of Microbiology has organized 3rd Alumni-Meet on 26th January 2013. The event was inaugurated at the hands of Mr. Kishor Vispute, alumni from first batch of PG (2002), Haffkin industries, Mumbai. Total 108 Alumni from undergraduate and post graduate had attended the alumni meet. On this occasion, Mr. Kishor Vispute guided all the students about carrier in industrial sector and preparation. Alumni have shared their experiences and views and guided students for better employment and research in life sciences. Alumni meet event was co-ordinated by Miss. Reena Jain.

Award Ceremony 2019-20

The Department of Microbiology had organized the Felicitation Ceremony of Meritorious students for the academic year 2019-20 dated on 20.9.2019. Students who had achieved first, second and third positions in their respective academic years from the UG and PG sections were felicitated along with their parents. The students with highest at HSC marks who have taken admission to the department of Microbiology were also felicitated along with their parents. The chief guests, Dr. V S. Zope,Principal, KCES's PG College, Jalgaon, had graced the occasion with his presence. The Principal, Dr.U D. Kulkarniand Dr. K P. Narkhede, Head Dept. of Microbiology also guided students during the event. The program was followed by the departmental visit for interaction between the students, parents, the teaching as well as the non teaching staff members. Mr. Sachin U. Channawat has coordinated the event. Microbiome Food Festival: 2020

The department has participated in National level event ‘Microbiome Food Festival: 2020’ in association with Microbiologist Society, India on 24th January 2020. Seventy one students were actively participated in this event by organizing food stall of microbial fermented products. The department has received ‘Award for Motivation’ to organizing this event. National Science Day 2020

The department has organized competitions on occasion of National Science Day (28th Feb.) on 27th February, 2020: the event includes. More than 70 students have participated in this event.

Organization of Louis Pasteur day 2019

The students and the faculty of the department have celebration of Birth Anniversary of Microbiologist Louis Pasteur on 17th December, 2019. On this occasion contribution of the Pasture was remembered with a small event which include group discussion activity.
