Preface of the Department:
B.Voc. degree programme is the unique academic programme comprising of General Education and Vocational Skills. Hence emphasis is given to develop students with multifaceted personalities having intertwining competence in the field of Agriculture. B.Voc. in Green House technology, Agriculture courses are planned keeping in mind the requirements and job profiles of Green House Executive employment, Entrepreneurship, Professional career in the field of service sectors such as High- Tech Farming, Advanced Agriculture etc.
Department of Green House Technology was established in 2014 affiliated to North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon under NVEQF/NSQF of UGC’s XII plan. The Department was started with a single course at UG to provide skilled man power to the field of green house and agriculture under Agriculture Sector Skill Council. Later on, B.Voc. in Agriculture and B.Voc. in Floriculture and Landscape Gardening courses were added from the academic year 2018-19. The present courses are highly effective and will help to fulfill the employment needs in advanced farming. This will make students perfect in all skills of advanced farming and entrepreneurship. Moolji Jaitha College is the first college in North Maharashtra region to begin with B. Voc. in Green House Technology, B.Voc. in Agriculture .
The Structure of the B. Voc. programme – The B. Voc. degree programme is a Three-year, six-semester full-time programme.
Levels of the programme – This programme will be conducted successively in the levels ranging from level V to level VII. Each semester of the Programme contains skill component and general component.
The medium of instructions – The B. VOC. programme will be offered in English Medium.
Eligibility – A candidate who has passed either his/her “Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination [10+2] in Arts/Science/Commerce” of the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent examination of any other statutory board OR “Diploma recognized by Board of Technical Education with minimum Duration of three years” shall be eligible for admission to the First year of the B. Voc. programme.
